Valcar – Travel & Service: MALCOTTI, MAGRI AND GASPARRI SIGNED SOME GREAT RESULTS AT THE “TRE VALLI VARESINE” RACE

Great satisfaction at Valcar – Travel & Service for the excellent results of its three athletes in the Top Ten of the “Tre Valli Varesine” Women’s Race. TThe athletes who signed such a great result have been Barbara Malcotti, Silvia Magri and Eleonora Gasparrini who arrived respectively in fourth, fifth and seventh in the final ranking. The three athletes in fuchsia jersey directed by Enrico Campolunghi were also the best Italians in the first female edition of a great classic of the Italian professional calendar such as the Tre Valli Varesine.

The race report shows a great dynamism of the Valcar – Travel & Service’s girls who have been ready in the crucial moments of the race. In particular, it has been Barbara Malcotti who has remained in the leading group together with Mavi Garcia, Neylan, Sierra, Ragusa and Quagliotto. In the final part of the race, however, Malcotti has lost contact and has reached 27 seconds behind the winner Arlenis Sierra. Behind Silvia Magri and Eleonora Gasparrini have arrived one minute later. At the end of the race there has also been the opportunity to celebrate Silvia Pollicini who competed for the last time in her career in the home race.

In the meantime, the Paris – Roubaix and the first two stages of the Women’s Tour were also disputed at the World Tour level. Unfortunately, however, the athletes of Valcar – Travel & Service (among them also the new world champion Elisa Balsamo) did not manage to hit a place in the top ten, despite showing up with Chiara Consonni and Elena Pirrone. To report the fall of Vittoria Guazzini at Roubaix with a fractured ankle that sentenced the end of the competitive season for the strong Tuscan athlete.
