ROUND 6 WSBK/WSS CHAMPIONSHIP – NO LUCK IN MALAYSIA

Sometimes not all donuts come with the hole, and the Malay race has not respected, unfortunately, the expectations of the team and its riders. However, they are, as always, committed to the maximum. The team had the credentials to run great races, but something went wrong. In Superbike, Gianluca Vizziello, who replaced the injured Roman Ramos, has crashed ruinously on Friday, also has reported the fracture of the left hand. Gianluca, that still wanted to honor the work of the team that worked through the night to rebuild the bike, and sore has completed both races! The whole team thanks him for the great contribution he has brought to the team.

The supersport saw us great protagonist in the practices, both our riders were faster on race pace and we had less problem of the opponents with the consume of tires, so the ambitions of the race were a lot higher, but before the start, a strong storm is fall on Sepang and the race direction has rightly preferred to postponing the race for safeguard the security of riders. At the start the track was still wet and Jezek was hit during the first lap from the Wahr’s bike, thus compromising his race. Ondrej is got up and is restarted, turning very strong but by then the group was gone.Gamarino after taking the measurements with the track began to ringed fast laps and gain positions, but after the first half of the race has suffered a sudden loss of grip and he have preferred to bring home points rather than throw away the job of the weekend

Gianluca Vizziello 4 (WSBK Race 1; 18th): I had come here to do well, but the new asphalt has betrayed me on Friday and I really made a big crash … I hurt everywhere but I wanted to continue my work because the team was great, worked through the night to give me a bike perfect. We could not go fast as we could for my pain and because we have not got to work on the bike for my riding style.
Gianluca Vizziello 4 (WSBK Race 2; 16th): After a good start on the fourth lap I started to feel pain in my hand… unfortunately the puncture to not feel the pain did not help me a lot and I preferred to continue without taking risks. thanks to Go Eleven, a fantastic team, and above all very professional.

Christian Gamarino 11 (WSS; 11th): Today the race was been very difficult because of the conditions of the asphalt, but from mid-race i was very fast and I was able to resume the group ahead of mè, but shortly after the grip is suddenly dropped and I was unable to maintain the pace. These are not the positions to which I aspire, but given the conditions are always important points.

Ondrej Jezek 69 (WSS; 17th): An unfortunate day for us. Everything seemed we will race on dry. But on the grid started raining. The race was due to heavy rain postponed to 17:00. The race was wet. After the start I was keeping my 9th position behind Cluzel and Krummenacher. Then suddenly Kevin Wahr hit me and we crashed together. I continued in the race on the last position and with rounded handlebar I was riding the laptimes around 6-10th place. But it was not enough to reach 15th place so we go back home without points from Malaisia. It’s a shame, we did a very good job during the weekend. Let’s forget it and in two weeks in Donington we wanted to go back to top ten.

Denis Sacchetti (Team Manager): I want to thank first of all Gianluca Vizziello, not everyone would rushed in his condition and he honored the team by completing both races, only means that, as already knew, is a rider with a great big heart and passion for our sport . The team was supreme, and that makes me proud of them, our staff is devoted to his work and never fail to prove it … thanks. The supersport was unfortunate, both Christian that Ondrej aspired to very important positions, we could take a great result today, but … .. the races are also this and not all donuts come with the hole! In Donington Roman Ramos will return to lead our sbk, we miss him a lot and we are happy that he is recovering so quickly.
