ROMAN IS 12° IN CALIFORNIA

California, and in particular the Laguna Seca circuit, give always strong emotions, here the fans are magical, a bit like the atmosphere that breathes. Roman starts the weekend with several difficulties, is difficult for him drive on this track and the feeling with his bike is not good, but with his team he immediately goes to work to try to solve those problems that stop him. Saturday morning found a big improvement on the set-up and in superpole he can make a good time, the road is the right one but in the race one the asphalt temperature is very high, this usually does not help. He does not start well, and immediately begin to recover positions, bringing with him Bradl and De Angelis, then succeed in the final to pass De Rosa. Roman suffers the sliding of the rear tire in the enter of the curves, and on the second sector is very slow. Need to find 4 tenths of race pace.In the warm-up he try a different engine brake setting, and he likes it, then we decide to use it in race 2. Roman can improve the rhythm of about 5 tenths for lap. Starts well and immediately struggling with Van Der Mark, Lowes and Bradl, The race have a impressive rhythm, really fast, until the half race has no problems to keep their pace, but then the rear tire fall, loses grip and can not attempt the attack. We back home with another good placement and important points for the championship.

Roman Ramos 40 (WSBK race 2; 12t): “We worked so much last night to have a competitive bike today. In the warm-up I felt some improvement and for the race we made another change that made us improve again. The first part of the race was very good behind the two Yamaha officers, then at 10 laps from the end the rear tire said stop, and I could not keep the same pace, but I’m happy to have improved in this circuit so hard for us, and finish so close to 3 official bikes. Thank a lot to the team for the work done this weekend.”
