ROMAN ENCHANTS IMOLA

There is nothing more beautiful than a great result in front of your audience, (75,000
payers) and for those who had missed this fantastic weekend of SBK…. I’m sorry but
some emotions are unrepeatable! Roman center the goal and confirms the good results of Assen, today in front of the great Italian public has get an incredible 9th place in the race, and the second row on the starting grid. In race 2, only the first 5 riders had a better pace than ours and only the rear rubber consumption slowed him to the finish, not allowing him to struggle until the end for the 6th position.Roman, competitive since friday, has missed the superpole 2 for a breath, but as he accustom, he ran an impeccable race struggling and leaving behind official bikes and world champions. The public, so much, and friends, comein so many, have made this result magical. Kazuki, really unlucky here at Imola, the Japanese who until the race had make a growing weekend, had the pace to aim to another top ten, has took the bike of Rolfo crashed in front of him in the first part of the race. However, he was able to restart, but he immediately suffered a technical problem on the bike, surely due to the fall. Does not find the performance constancy Gino, always fast on friday unable to find the right feeling with his Kawasaki to be competitive even in the race, the team have made a new working method and the hope is to see him fight soon for the important positions. Thank you all for coming to support Go Eleven!

Roman Ramos 40 (WSBK race 1; 9th): “I am very happy, this kawasaki really likes me, until the warm up we had agility problems and I was worried about the race pace but then I managed to be constant until the end. The struggle with Bradl was fun and is been beautiful to win it. I am happy with this result and thank all my team that always doing a great job.”

Roman Ramos 40 (WSBK race 2; 11th):“Start form the second row was important for us, I would like to accustom to it! I fought all the race with the group for the sixth position, Laverty, Van Der Mark and Lower had my same pace until 5 laps to the end, I wanted to attack them but then I got a drop in the rear tire and I was not able to do it. It is been a good week end anyway, I’m happy with my team and my bike, we go back home happy and I want to thank all the fans that are came here to see me.”

Gino Rea 4 (WSS race; 15th):” I can not be happy with this result, we are working well and I feel that the way is the right one but still I can not repeat the practices times in the race and this is frustrating, know that I can fight for the podium but not be able to do it. Today in the race I suffered a lot the front grip, I felt slipping and I did not trust to pushing in enter of the curve, this is strange because the bike was really similar as setting, but I was much slower. In England we will continue to try.”

Gino 2
Kazuki Watanabe (WSS race : rt):” It is been a strange day, lots of red flags and the track full of feeler to clean the oil. I felt good with the bike, the track is difficult but I was thrilled, I had improved constantly and for the race I was confident, my race pace allowed me to hoping for a top ten, but unfortunately at the third start, Rolfo fell in front of me and I could not avoid it. The mechanics are been very good at repairing the bike, but unfortunately I was forced to retire.”

Denis Sacchetti (Team Manager): “The result of today is even more beautiful than Assen because it is the confirmation that we made a big step forward, both Roman and us on our bike. The superbike level is incredibly high and struggling in these positions with so important teams for us is a great pride. In supersport we have considerably improved engine power, and the exhaust that Spark has supply to us was improved especially in the lower rpm, now we have a good package and we just have to understand how to use it to get competitive. I want especially to thanks all our supporters, who in these days have come to make feel us their warmth … ..THANKS IMOLA!”
