The Superbike 2017 World Championship finishes at Losail, between the emotions of the last race and the charm of a night that has confirmed Go Eleven at first place among the Kawasaki satellite teams and the first private team. The goal achieved successfully, thanks to the double top ten centered by Roman Ramos in the two manche. In Supersport Gino Rea has run growing weekend, second in the fp3 he did not make a good superpole. Starting from behind has done the best possible in a category where the gap are minimal, but showing the competitiveness of the bike. Watanabe was immediately at ease with the circuit, fast in practices and close to the top10 in the race, unfortunately had to retire on the last lap. Go Eleven wants to thank all those who contributed to the satisfactions archived in this season.
Roman Ramos 40 (World SBK race 1; 10th): “During the practices we fought with the front tire grip and the consumption of the rear tire, even in the race was the most difficult situation to handle but we managed to keep a good pace and we are very happy.”
Roman Ramos 40 (World SBK race 2; 10th): “We have reduced the gap from Rea than the race 1 and I had a lot of fun in the fight with Camier and De rosa. Last year on this circuit we had encountered many difficulties and this result is proof that we grew so much during 2017 and we are ready for 2018! I’m fine with the whole team and I want to thank each single component for the sacrifices and the work done to give to me the max.”
Gino Rea 4 (World SS race; 9th): “I wanted to finish the championship with a podium, we could have done it, I could drive my bike well, but starting from the back on the grid have limited us a lot and also an interference with the electronic quickshifter slowed me even further. Thanks to everyone for the work done with determination during this crazy season.”
Kazuki Watanabe 26 (World SS race; rt): “Friday was been very hard, I did not have feeling with the front tire but the rubber compound tht we have tried on Saturday morning in free practice made me change the rhythm and in race I was doing very well, I was taking Baldolini and Gamarino when I had problems. I would have liked to finish the season with a good result, it would be a right thanks to my sponsors and my team.”
Denis Sacchetti (Team Manager):“We archive another season that has seen us enjoy and suffer at times, but what matters is that when we draw the conclusions the numbers crown us like the best private team in sbk. We have achieved the goal confirming us for the third consecutive year as the best satellite team kawasaki and it is necessary to thank all the people who collaborate and work on this project, but the greatest merit goes to our rider Roman Ramos, always more close to the top of the ranking.Go Eleven continues to grow and today it reaches a level of competitiveness that, coupled with the change of technical regulation, poses very important ambitions for 2018.Thank you all.”
