Good performance of Valcar – Travel & Service in the last two races in Tuscany, because the team had the courage and the merit to run both the Strade Bianche and the Trofeo Oro in Euro thanks to the joint work of a group that attacked with courage and on two occasions touched the set target.

Thinking about winning the Strade Bianche was impossible, given the characteristics of the athletes in fuchsia shirts, however Davide Arzeni’s girls did the best they could.
With a solitary escape that lasted 40 minutes, Elena Pirrone attracted the attention of the international media in the initial and central stages of the race, while Vittoria Guazzini was very unlucky in the final, because a fall at the last kilometer prevented her from winning the jersey of best young World Tour, went to the French Evita Muzic.

At the Trofeo Oro in Euro, on the other hand, Vittoria Guazzini always took a good second place behind Rachele Barbieri in the final group sprint after a race interpreted in a wonderful way by all the girls in blue fuchsia shirts.
Spectacular the last 30 km with the attacks of Silvia Magri, Margaux Vigié, Federica Piergiovanni and Barbara Malcotti before the final climb where the former world champion Tatiana Guderzo made the pace skimming the group.
Despite the strong pace imposed, three Valcar – Travel & Service athletes resisted: Vittoria Guazzini, a fully recovered Federica Piergiovanni and the European junior champion Eleonora Gasparrini, who was impressive despite being a 1st year.
In the descent the leading group was recovered by a second group where other Valcar – Travel & Service athletes such as Chiara Consonni were present.

In the final the train of Valcar – Travel & Service worked for Vittoria Guazzini, but in the final sprint Rachele Barbieri got the better of it. Third place for the 2019 winner Laura Tomasi.

Now Davide Arzeni’s girls are expected from an important trip to Belgium where they will race the GP Oetingen (14th March) and the Danilith Nokere Koerse (17th March) before returning to Italy with the Binda Trophy (World Tour race on 21st March).
