VALCAR-PBM: ASJA PALADIN HITS 14° AT LA FLECHE WALLONE

Since sunday at the Amstel Gold Race, there was the feeling  that Asja Paladin could performe a great race at the La Fleche Wallone.

Today the confirmation arrived, on the tough Huy wall where the athlete did fight among the best of the world. “Today was a tough race” commets the Valcar PBM athlete in the video #InsideValcar published on the official profile of the team “in the long lap there have been really long springs and luckily my team mates were great to enter at every sprint” 

The tactical maturity of the team directed by the d.s Davide Arzeni have been noticed in the first minutes of the race thanks to the initiative of Elisa Balsamo, Silvia Pollicini, Ilaria Sanguineti and Chiara Zanettin, but above all by the former italian champion Dalia Muccioli. 

“When the sprint started with our team mate Dalia, we could take some rest in the group of the followers” comment Asjia Paladinthen at the first passage at the Huy wall we reunited. Another sprint started after that and I managed to to remain in the group thanks to my mate Elisa Balsamo, that helped me a lot. At the end we catched the sprinters and i gave it all. I was hoping in a good result and I’m so happy to be among the 15ths. My compliments to the winner Anna van der Breggen and now we will focus on our next race.”

The team next appointments will the EPZ Omloop van Borsele(saturday april 21st) and the  Liegi – Bastogne – Liegi (sunday april 22nd) to then get back to Italy for the G.P. Liberazione (april 25th); then will follow the 2 rounds in China (Tour of Chongming Island) and in Luxembourg (Festival Elsy Jacobs).
