ROUND 7 WSBK/WSS CHAMPIONSHIP – BITTER TASTE IN DONINGTON FOR GO ELEVEN

The world superbike confirmed to be one of the most popular events here in England, and the crowd of people who filled the Donington Park it is a beautiful confirmation.

The superbike has refound his protagonist, Roman Ramos, who returned after injury that cost him the forced stop to imola and Sepang. Roman has suffered a bit of pain in his hand, and at his right arm, but he as good fighter has gritted his teeth and has picked up two good results, embellished by a gearbox problem that has, however, taken off the opportunity to get the Top 10 in Race 1. Ondrej Jezek, author of excellent practices is slipped on the first lap of Superpole, guilty of hit a curb with the front wheel, and he slipped again into the race in the first passages lamenting a loss of grip never suffered before, fortunately no consequence for the rider. Christian Gamarino who was leading a beautiful race that again saw him in top positions has unfortunately had to stop because of an engine failure, throwing to the wind all the hopes of the team.

Roman Ramos 40 (WSBK Race 1; 13th): Today we have missed an opportunity, I could do eight or better and it would been nice at return, also because I need to recover the lost points in the championship, but I had to fight throughout the race with a gearbox problems and for this I have done too many mistakes. But I’m fine, my bike is competitive and in race two we might fight again with Best.

Roman Ramos 40 (WSBK Race 2; 13th): To safeguard the injured hand I mostly used the right arm, maybe too and it caused me pain. I was afraid of not being able to finish the race, but the doctors of the Clinica Mobile have done a great job and I managed to finish the race even in good position. I am angry because West has passed me at the photo finish, maybe i had too much traction control on the final and he was able to accelerate better than me.

Christian Gamarino 11 (WSS; rt):
We worked hard to find the right set-up that allowed me to be as fast as I was in the race, I felt good, I had a good rhythm and I had already recovered many positions, but then a technical problem does not allow us to get the result that we deserved… that a pity!

Ondrej Jezek 69 (WSS; rt): I do not know what happened, I had no feeling in the race, especially with the front, the grip was non-existent but we have not changed anything from the warm up so even if I did not feel I tried to push and i slipped down with no motive … I’m sorry for the team that has worked hard and well for the whole weekend.
Denis Sacchetti (Team Manager): We are happy to race here, the fans are fantastic, always feed large appreciation for all riders, proving to love our sport before the “personage”, which in Italian sometimes you lose. Unfortunately, even here in England we have not collected a lot, contrary to expectations, and what I regret most is being aware that we can reach certain results but fail for a thousand different reasons, this creates a lot of anger. But we no give up, a team you see in difficult moments and we are a great team!
