MISANO, WE MISSED IT!

After a year of absence, WorldSBK is back in Italy, the Misano World Circuit is preparing to host the third Round! Good weather and a welcoming atmosphere have always characterized the Romagna Riviera, a unique environment that makes the event special and awaited by all motorcycling enthusiasts.

Chaz Davies and the Go Eleven Team, after the podium conquered in Race 2 at Estoril, arrive motivated and determined. Confirming the excellent steps forward and aiming for the top 3 is the goal of this weekend. Unfortunately Chaz was unable to take advantage of the winter tests on this track, due to the positivity at Covid, so the staff will immediately have to look for the right set-up and the right geometry to allow the Welsh rider to feel perfect on the bike. It’s the home race of the Team and Ducati manufacturer, so there will be a further push to fix all those small details that in the end make the difference. There will be two news on the track; Pirelli has brought a new soft tyre solution that should, at least on paper, provide better performance in the short term, and there will also be two qualifying tyres, in order to eliminate the problem of canceled laps in Superpole. Furthermore, for the first time since Phillip Island 2020, a very small number of people will be able to return to the stands to cheer their idols. One of the best news to hear, which suggests a gradual return to normality, waiting for the spectators in the paddock from the next races. A lot of news, a lot of anticipation and the desire to experience a great weekend on the home circuit; the perfect mix for a spectacular event!

Chaz Davies (Rider):
We come here with the good result of Estoril, so we have a good feeling in the garage and a good momentum to take us forward. It’s an important weekend because it’s the home race for Go Eleven, so it’s important to try bring home the best result possible. In Misano we didn’t race last year, and I didn’t do the tests due to Covid, so I feel like I haven’t been here for a little while, but it’s a circuit on I had reasonable successes in the past and I really enjoy the layout. The surface, probably, now has more grip than the last years, and that’s something I am interested to try and to feel the new solutions that Pirelli brought here. We hope to have a solid weekend! ”
