BURIRAM IS BITTER, ONLY 5 POINTS FOR ROMAN

The Thai public loves the sbk, and even today has shown it, filling the big central tribune.
The guest invited by the managers of Comi Group were enthusiastic about everything that was happening in the paddock and even more about the welcoming that they had at the Team Go Eleven hospitality. Roman Ramos continues the work of tuning started in Australia, the new engine requires a different setting and the work to do at the box is been a lot. After difficult qualifying, the race 1 is been very nice and fought from the first to the last lap, creating a group with Baz, Savadori, Mercado, Roman and Razgatlioglu, the pace was very high and the order of arrival of them was decided only at the last corner. To get into the top ten there were only 0.2 seconds of race pace, so we have worked mainly on electronic system and after the warm up it seemed that we had found an improvement. Unfortunately, on the first lap, a contact at turn 5 forced Roman to go straight, re-enter as last he is been able to climb up to the 13th position. A pity, because he could have fought for the eighth position. Epis falls in the third lap, he was riding faster than the opponents who preceded him, but at turn 3 he entered too fast and have lost the front. Collins, on his world debut, and on a kawasaki, did a great job improving himself lap by lap. In the first part of the race was more in difficulty then he improved his times closing the gap with the riders that preceded him.Michael Canducci will return from Aragon.
Roman Ramos 40 (WSBK race 1; 14th):“The friday started in the best way, but then we did not manage to improve as the others, actually in the race I realized that we were as fast as them, I was really at the limit but we could fight with them. In the last 5 laps I was missing something to win my group.”

Roman Ramos 40 (WSBK race 2; 13th):“After the warm up I was confident that I had found that something more to fight for the top ten, but I touched with Mercado at turn 5 and I went long, then in the attempt to recover I made many mistakes, but with the bike I had a feeling worse than race 1.”
Lachlan Epis 83 (WSS; rt):“This week end was been very good. Me and the team worked very well together and the bike was incredible, in the race i was faster than last year and i was in the group fighting for the top ten. Unfortunately i made a mistake in turn 3 and i lose the front. Very sorry to the team as they worked very hard this weekend, so thank you. I look forward to Aragon where i know we can fight towards the front.”

Epis
Ted Collins 29 (WSS; 22th):” I learnt a lot this weekend in my debut start in the world championship! We had good mid race pace and were laping as fast as the next 5 riders in front of me. I would like to extend a huge thank you to Go Eleven. I had never seen this bike until Thursday, the entire team did an incredible job adapting the bike for me this week end. Thanks again with experience and I loved working with an extremely hard working, fun group of people.”

Denis Sacchetti (team manager):“The level of the superbike is really very high, we saw the number of small errors that all riders have committed, we have seen two races at the limit and very hard fought, where even 0.2 seconds only can make you gain or lose many positions. Today Roman could get a great result, but right now it is important for us to find the right set up to be competitive at all times. Epis was good this weekend, he worked well and improved himself, we need to give to him time.Collins was virgin, world debut, his first race on a kawasaki and first time on this track, we can not evaluate it as a result but his method of work and his approach with the team, I really appreciate it.”
