ROUND 9 WSBK/WSS CHAMPIONSHIP – ROMAN RAMOS IN TOP 10 IN LAGUNA SECA

California not disprove and gives us a weekend exaggerated, in pure American style. The friday morning of Roman is started good, turning in FP1 in better times compared to last year’s race, but then during the two working days, the changes tested to improve, have not gave the expected results and in race 1 could not do more that take a championship point, the set-up chosen was less valid of our expectations.
The team have not lost his nerve and comparing all the data was able to preparings a good bike for the second race, Roman thanked them with the Top 10 in race 2. The race was stopped after only 6 laps, and it was a sin for Roman because in the first half seemed to was more fast of West, that has anticipated him in the second half.

Roman Ramos 40 (WSBK Race 1; 15th): very difficult race today, due to a set up that we decided to try in the race, but we thought that going better and instead was not good. Tomorrow we will use the bike of FP3, it is the one I liked most as a configuration that allows me to do good easier times. I hope to do a good result tomorrow, to be able to dedicate it to all my team.

Roman Ramos 40 (WSBK Race 2; 10th): I am very happy with the result today, a tenth place for us is very good here at Laguna because until yesterday had not gone very well. We shot in very good times throughout the race and in the end we managed to take 10th place at last lap. I want to thank my team because they worked very hard this weekend, we are in tune and together we managed to turn the situation around.

Denis Sacchetti (Team Manager): It was our second time here in California and the track of Laguna Seca is very difficult and requires a set up very different from all other circuits. Also since last year has also changed the bike, the 2016 ZX10R uses different set-up than the previous version and we realized, to our cost, that changes on this bike have other effects than in 2015 bike. This made us lose a lot of time for find a correct set-up, but despite all the team gave his best as always and Roman put on track all his determination. In race 1 we risked making an hazard choice, it could go very well as very bad, unfortunately it went wrong … but the races are these and sometimes you have to gamble! For the second race the team did a great job, finding the solution to many problems and allowing Roman to ride his bike as he likes. An excellent result that makes us go on holiday happy, now this summer break will help us to further improve the bike and get ready to the season finale, which promises to be more charged than ever!
