WSBK SEPANG: THE HEAT DOES NOT STOP GO ELEVEN!

We are at the Sepang International Circuit, near the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. The track is 5,543 meters long, designed by German man Hermann Tilke and has been considered in last years a model for the new circuits. Here, 23 October 2011, during the MotoGP race, at Turn 11, motorcycling has lost one of its legends, Marco Simoncelli. Go Eleven conquest again the top ten in both categories, consolidating the 6th position in Supersport team classification and the 9th position in Superbike team classification. Today the riders were fantastic, struggling with critical conditions due to the extreme heat and humidity, and of course the lack of grip, they have gritted teeth, and also with tires finished, no problem, the bike sideways and gas in spades! Ramos raced with intelligently in the first race and then create a thrilling battle in race 2, Gamarino has attempted the attack on the top 5, but was hampered by experience of Baldolini, Schmitter, was the first time in this circuit, and although it is considered one of the most difficult, has struggled for the top ten, the evidence of a great talent!

Roman Ramos (gara 1; 14°posto): The weekend was very difficult, perhaps the most difficult of this season, it was very hot and there was no grip. The rear tire was rapidly degraded and also in the braking was hard enter into the curve, we suffered a lot but other more than we do, then that’s okay, are always points in the championship..

Christian Gamarino (9° posto): I’m happy about the weekend, I managed to go very strong and always close to the top 5, I knew that the race would be difficult so I tried to save the tires for the final attack. But Baldolini was very good, he closed all the doors and when I managed to overtake him the others were away and I have lost so the top 5. I’m happy with the bike and the team, now we go on holiday with the desire and the belief that we can do a good end to the season.

Dominic Schmitter (11° posto): This weekend the team and me are working better than the other races. My start was good, in the beginning i save my tireds. After 4-5 Laps i push a little bit more and i close to the top 12! I attack a lot, i want be the leader of this group, but the other rider overtake me and we loos time. So i thinking under my helmet, the strategy. I want overtake in the last round. in the last corner we had a big fight. But i give all and winn in this group! I think this was one of my best race this year. p11 and the track was new for me. i thanks to the team i cant wait work with it in jerez!!!

Denis Sacchetti – team manager Go Eleven: This race has put us all to the test, the conditions, especially precarious grip asphalt Malay we have created several problems on the set-up of the bike, and I’m honest, at one point we did not know what to do, which way take . Then thanks to the indications of our drivers was open a glimmer of light and also this time we were able, with great satisfaction, to send them in the races with a bike that allowed him to express their value. Roman has not done mistake, for us the top ten is always a success and he gave us another great result, I’m also happy for the small detachment from the first. Christian missed another good chance, but to do more today was not easy, the result shows that it is still one of the best riders in the category, as well as Dominic, this year ‘s is growing so much, is in his first world experience and the It is exploiting well. Now we go on holiday happy and satisfied about these two thirds of the season, but stay focused on the championship final, which promises fireworks!
